摘要 | Many of China's national protected areas are essentially off-limits to both Chinese and foreign visitors alike. Ed Grumbine ponders the need to protect these special places, given China's burgeoning population, but regrets the loss to science of being unable to study some of the most diverse old-growth forests in the world. |
