摘要	The title compound, methyl 5-ethyl-2-methoxy-6-azapentacyclo[9.5.1.0(1,5).0(2,8).0 (14,17)] heptadec-11 (17)-ene-15-carboxylate, C21H31NO3, obtained from the fruits of Daphniphyllum macropodum, is a newly identified alkaloid with a complex polycyclic skeleton. It crystallizes with two unique molecules in the asymmetric unit that differ in the orientation of the hydroxyl group. The molecules are linked into chains along the a axis by intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
