摘要	One new triterpene, 6 alpha-hydroxyilexosapogenin A (1), and nine known compounds were isolated from Metadina trichotoma. Their structures were mainly elucidated by NMR and MS spectra. As evidenced by a glucose concentration assay, compound 2 can stimulate glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and is the first pyrocincholic acid type triterpenoid that shows promoting glucose uptake activity.
