摘要 | Triterpenoids as a research focus of natural products have anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-hypertensive, lipid-regulating, hypoglycemic, anti-AIDS and other activities. It was found that compared with monocotyledonous plants, triterpenoids were more widely distributed and varied in dicotyledonous plants, especially in Cucurbitaceae, Acanthaceae, Leguminosae and Aesculaceae. Momordica charantia L. is an annual climbing herb of Cucurbitaceae, also known as bitter gourd and bitter melon. As a common vegetable, its fruit contains multiple triterpenoids with functions of hypoglycemia, anti-obesity, anti-diabetes, anti-cancer and anti-gluconeogenesis. Due to the low efficiency of separation, extraction or chemical synthesis of triterpenoids in bitter gourd, their applications have been limited. Therefore, in recent years, studies on triterpenoids in bitter gourd have shifted to biosynthesis pathway. In this study, the transcriptome and triterpenoid metabolites at different growth stages of bitter gourd were analyzed; the expression patterns of triterpenoid synthesis candidate gene were explored. The McOSC and McP450 that formed gene clusters adjacent to each other were screened by chromosomal localization, and their functions in the synthesis of triterpenoids in bitter gourd were analyzed by exogenous gene expression test, which laid a foundation for the subsequent heterologous expression of triterpenoids in bitter gourd.
