四种草本植物对镉(Cd)的耐受性和富集性评价; Evaluation of cadmium tolerance and accumulation characteristics in four herbs

摘要Soil heavy metal pollution is a global environmental problem that severely harms human health and ecosystems. Among various heavy metals, cadmium (Cd) is the most prominent pollutant in soil because of its high toxicity, strong mobility and extensive pollution area. Among all existing remediation technologies, phytoremediation (mainly phytoextraction technique) is considered as most promising remediation method. However, a key work for phytoextraction is screening plants with high tolerance and accumulation capacity to heavy metals. To date, some high-Cd-accumulating plant species are reported in literatures, but most of them are not applied in remediation practice because of their low growth speed and biomass. In order to screen better Cd-accumulation plant species for phytoremediation, we explored Cd tolerance and accumulation characteristics of four herbaceous plants (Galinsoga quadriradiata, Panicum dichotomiflorum, Setaria geniculata and Lolium persicum) under the Cd concentration gradient by pot experiment. The key findings were summarized as follows: 1. Physiological tolerance under different Cd concentrations We set 5 mg kg-1 (T5)、25 mg kg-1 (T25)、50 mg kg-1 (T50) three soil Cd concentrations, and the treatments without Cd were used as control (T0). The seeds of four plants were cultured in without Cd contaminated soils, and then four species seedlings with two cotyledons were selected and transferred to a plastic pot with Cd soils and control. The experiment lasted three months, during which the plants were watered daily to ensure their survival. The results showed the biomasses of both shoots and roots of G. quadriradiata under all treatments had no significant changes compared with those of control (T0) samples, whereas the biomasses of other three Poaceae species significantly decreased (P<0.05). Under T50 treatment, the shoot and root biomass of P. dichotomiflorum decreased by 80.86% and 66.67% respectively, while those of S. geniculata decreased by 55.5% and 30.2%; the shoot biomass of L. persicum decreased by 40.1% but the root biomass changed insignificantly. The biomass accumulation of G. quadriradiata was higher than other three species within the same growth time (P<0.05). We found that the chlorophyll contents in P. dichotomiflorum and L. persicum did not change significantly under different Cd treatments whereas those of in G. quadriradiata and S. geniculata were significantly decreased under T50 and T25 treatments respectively (P<0.05). The results of reactive oxygen species (ROS) determination showed that the contents of oxygen free radical (OFR)and H2O2 in G. quadriradiata significantly increased with the increase of soil Cd concentration(P<0.05). The contents of OFR in P. dichotomiflorum and S. geniculata significantly decreased under T50 and T25 treatments respectively (P<0.05), whereas the contents of H2O2 did not significantly change. The OFR contents of L. persicum significantly increased under T5 treatments (P<0.05)
