摘要	One of the main reasons that contribute to the taxonomic chaos of Isodon is insufficient field investigation. Based on extensive field observation and specimen examination, the present study aims to clarify the identities of five species of Isodon from southwest China. Our researches reveal that I. brachythyrsus and I. chionanthus, previously treated as synonyms of I. muliensis, and I. kangtingensis, previously treated as a synonym of I. flabelliformis, should be resurrected as distinct species. Taxonomic revision of the five species, including their detailed description, illustrations, as well as distribution information, is carried out.
