摘要	During a survey of microfungi on leaves of Pandanus species in the Nabanhe Valley at Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China in August 2016, we collected and isolated a new saprobic taxon belonging in Muyocopron (Muyocopronaceae). Both morphological characters and phylogenetic analyses of LSU and SSU sequence data provide strong evidence to place the new taxon in Muyocopron where it is described as M garethjonesii. A description, photoplates of the macro- and micro-characteristics, and a phylogenetic tree to resolve the placement of M. garethjonesii are provided.
