摘要	A new polypore, Inonotus exilisporus Y.C. Dai & Niemela, collected on Quercus from NE China, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by resupinate basidiocarps, absence of hyphoid and hymenial setae, and by hyaline, thin-walled and narrowly ellipsoid spores. I. levis P. Karst. belongs to the Inocutis Fiasson & Niemela group, and is commonly known by a more recent synonym, I. pseudohispidus Kravtzev & Schwarzman. It has a basal core in the context and thick-walled and distinctly cyanophilous spores. I. levis is distributed in Xinjiang of China, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The differences between it and related species are discussed, and its lectotype is selected. An identification key to the species of Inonotus P. Karst. in China is given, and spore dimensions of each species are included according to material from China and adjacent areas of Asia. I. leporinus (Fr.) Gilb. & Ryvarden and I. levis are new to China. Some other taxa of Inonotus mentioned in literature from China are discussed. Chinese voucher specimens,identified as I. dryophilus (Berk.) Murrill, I. hastifer Pouzar and I. nodulosus (Fr.) P. Karst. were studied; they were misidentified, and these three species are not definitely known from China so far.
